The Tehachapi Police Explorers were established in August of 2007.  Since we have been in existence, we have participated in several Tehachapi community events such as the Mountain Festival, the 4 of July parade and the Halloween Trunk or Treat. 

During our first year of existence, we participated in the Imperial Valley Explorer Competition and won seven trophies in the following events; Active Shooter, Air Soft Shoot, Hot Stops, Bicycle Course, Marijuana Field Raid, Tug of War and an Obstacle Course.

The Tehachapi Police Explorers are actively recruiting qualified candiates, ages 14-21, to join Post 1018.  All candiates must be in good physical condition, maintain a 2.0 GPA and must complete a successful background investigation.
